The World Wide Laboratory: Remote and Automated Access to Imaging Instrumentation Paper presented at the National Research
Council Chemical Science's Roundtable Workshop on the Impact of Advances in Computing and
Communications in Chemical Sciences and Technology For the past several years we have been involved in the development of remote and automated access to imaging instrumentation and the overall project is known as the World Wide Laboratory (WWL). This technical report summarizes our current research efforts and discusses some of the lessons learned during the implementation of this project.
