Poster sessions have become a vital avenue for presenting active research at conferences in an engaging, personal manner. Creating a poster that communicates research results effectively should be the presenter's primary concern, not how to get the poster software to cooperate! This forum will discuss how to create a poster from scratch, and how to print it using the Beckman Institute's HP DesignJet 5000. The focus will be upon methods for creating posters using a robust layout package recommended by the Beckman Institute, and will also cover essential information concerning printing policies, methods and avenues for consultation.
