The purpose of this forum is to introduce some techniques for extracting three-dimensional models from data produced by the confocal microscope in the Microscopy Suite, then producing "hard copies" of these models on the Genisys XS three-dimensional printer in the VMIL. While the techniques presented here will be based upon data acquired from microscopy, the principles will apply to data from other sources as well making this forum of interest to anyone wanting to produce a solid model.
