Automated Filament Selection and Targeting for Automated Electron Microscopy Clint Potter Director Imaging Technology Group Beckman Institute 4 May 2000 Cryoelectron microscopy has the potential to allow direct visualization of macromolecular arrangements in very large assemblies and intact cells. This talk will describe recent progress of our group’s development of automated data collection techniques for cryo transmission electron microscopy for imaging filamentous structures (e.g. microtubules). The talk will focus on automated image analysis strategies for filament selection and targeting. This forum was presented using Microsoft PowerPoint 2000.
