The Leginon automated TEM system identifies targets in a low magnification image and then centers the targets to acquire high magnification images. The current method of centering targets is inaccurate and necessitates an additional time consuming step. This error has been traced to a problem in the TEM's goniometer stage. After modeling the motion of the goniometer, a more accurate method will now be implemented such that a target can be centered in one step.
