Notes:
Poorly prepared specimen provides useless information for the investigator. For biological tissue it is extremely important to make all the steps from the living tissue to the embedded in resin tissue properly. These steps are:
- infiltration with resin
These steps are all tedious and time-consuming. Solutions and substances that are used during these steps are quite harmful and often cancerogenic. Luckily we have an option not to do it by hand - using the tissue processor. This instrument requires just filling the vials and entering the program for processing: for each step - time, temperature and necessity of agitation And then the instrument can be abandoned for several hours. For those who are familiar with manual processing the advantage of the instrument is very obvious.
