JavaScope Greg Brauer ITG Undergraduate Research Programmer 7 April 1998 This lecture will discuss the development and future of JavaScope, a Java based client facilitating semi-automated remote transmission electron microscopy. JavaScope utilizes the Internet to allow researchers to take control of the ITG's Transmission Electron Microscope and conduct research from any Java enabled web browser. The talk will discuss the implementation of JavaScope and the major goals and plans for making JavaScope into a useful research tool. A live demonstration of the current system will be part of the presentation.
