The Tools Palette

The Tools Palette allows you to create shape cast members. Shapes use less memory than bitmaps and are useful for movies that will be distributed on the internet. With the tool pallete you can also change the shape or color or size of a shape cast member right on the stage. To create a shape, select a cell in the frame where you want to draw the shape, select the elements (color, line thickness, pattern setting, etc.)click on the tool (from the outline shape tools or filled shape tools)and drag on the stage to draw the shape. The new shape will appear on the stage and the cast window. The Radio Button, Checkbox and Button tools in the tool palette are used for creating simple buttons similar to those defined by the system software. For more sophisticated buttons you can use the Button Editor or bring button graphics in from an outside application.
