More on AnimationDirector is capable of Onion skinning, which is accessed through the View pull down menu. You would use onion skinning to see one or more of the previous images in an animation. Onion skinning allows you to create or edit animated sequences of cast members in the Paint window using other cast members as a reference. The referenced images will appear dimmed in the background.
Animations can also be done through tweening. In a certain cast members place on a time line you can put in keyframes and move the cast member around on the stage after each keyframe. The keyframes will appear as white circles in the score for the cast member you keyframed. You can control whether the movements are circular, linear, the speed, etc. You can also animate dissolves instead of using the transition channel by keyframing the blend of a cast member at each keyframe. This yellow line shows the path of the cast member on the stage. The dots are keyframes. |
