Image of the Week - 24 March 2008

Optical micrograph (bright field mode) of a portrait of the ancient scholar, Hypatia, printed using high-resolution electrohydrodynamic jet (e-jet) printing technique. This image is composed of dots with diameters of 490 nm. The e-jet printing method is capable of printing resolutions in submicron range. The micrograph was captured using the Zeiss AxioImager A1 light microscope.
