Cover for Soft Matter

The cover image depicts direct-write assembly of a 3D polyamine-rich scaffold (top) followed by biomimetic silicification (middle) to generate an inorganic–organic hybrid structure (bottom) under ambient conditions. The image was produced using a custom ITG script written to convert coordinate data for the deposition machine into a path in Maya. This path was then extruded to form the primary structure.
