Silver Nanoprisms

Silver nanoprisms imaged by Rachel Masyuko using the TEM. Rachel created the prisms via a process in which the first product is spherical silver particles less than 10 nm in diameter. The particles are then photoinduced into prisms using an argon laser. She is now working on producing dimers of the prisms and will be studying their optical properties.
