Environmentally Friendly Processing of Explosives

One task of the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center is to develop nanoparticles of a military explosive using an environmentally friendly process. This week's Image of the Week, taken using the environmental scanning electron microscope, is an example of one of a number of different compounds that are currently undergoing testing.
