Hydrolyzed Polyacrylamide

ESEM image, in HiVac mode, of agglomerated polyacrylamide (HPAM). This form of acrylamide can be applied to boat hulls to reduce drag in the water; similar drag-reducing polymers were also used in the Alaskan Oil Pipeline.
